Farewell 2010

Well as the last day of 2010 draws to an end I have been reflecting back on the year that has been. Wow so much has happened for me and my family, the biggest thing we did was make the move from NZ to Australia in January, which was pretty stressful preparing for that move and its hard starting fresh but we are certainly getting on our feet now and really enjoying what Australia has to bring :)

I had no idea at that time how far forward that would bring my little work at home business. I thought I did pretty well back in NZ but wow over here its been so very overwhelming! I can't believe how hard I have made my little sewing machine work and how many cute little products have been produced and little faces I have made smile :) Seeing those smiles makes every bit of handmade work worth it!

Within the first 3 months of starting up here I had accomplished over 100 orders and as of today I have more than tripled that! How on earth have I managed all that on my own? Some friends have called me superwoman but I don't feel like superwoman lol I have to admit I have pushed myself quite a bit but I had no idea at the extent. All I can say is I try my best and I put in all the handmade love I possibly can into each item knowing how much it will be loved back :)



I am so very grateful to all my customers through 2010 and so lucky to have so many loyal customers who keep coming back! Thank you to all of you, you know who you all are! I am also so very lucky to have made some very good friends through my page, what would I do without you all! I am so glad to be friends with you all and enjoying meeting those who I am able to meet in person and next year I look forward to making new friends and meeting more of you :)

The hardest thing for me in 2010 was loosing my mum. It was something that happend very quickly and will take me a very long time to come to terms with. She was someone I always shared my dreams with about my site and all my sewing. Everytime I finished something I had to show her. She also helped me alot and gave me many ideas. She was the one who named my Snappy Straps over 3 years ago. I miss her so much and if she knew how far I have come in this short time I am sure she would be proud of me.


I can't wait to see what 2011 brings and I have lots of new items I hopefully will be stocking next year. Its very exciting for me thinking about it all and I can't wait to announce all the new things as they come. I'm also excited to have some help next year with my sewing and cutting, it will help me very much to keep up with everyones demands :)

Who is the most adorable for July??

Well I have finally decided on a new competition for those of you on my wonderful Facebook page!
Pick your favourite photo of your child/children and post it on my wall, I will then move it into the competition album.
The photo with the 'most' likes will be the winner so you will have to encourage as many people that you can to click 'like' on your photo and also anyone else on the page could choose to like your pic too :)
Few Rules -
Only 1 Photo per family please. Please don't get your spouse or other family members to enter on your behalf.
You can start posting your pic on my wall straight away.
Entries for photos will end on Saturday 17th at 7pm AEST.
Competition will end on Sunday 18th of July at 7.30pm AEST

Winner will get to choose a bib in the style they like, this can be one already made or I will custom make it for you :)

Opening Details

I thought I would let you all know some opening details for the store that you might find helpful.

Firstly I know that some stock numbers are quite low, like on the new Toweling Bibs, don't worry if you miss out as I will definitely be making lots more of these. If you are after a certain print that is sold out you can email me at bekkie@adorablekidz.com.au to preorder one. I may have to order the fabric first though.

Also I know I only have a couple of Boys printed Tickle Blankets, I am working on making more so please keep checking back regularly or flick me an email to the address above if you have a request.

As mentioned in yesterdays blog post, there are a few items that are bargain sale items (other items that are not in the bargain bin) , they have over 50% off on the item and is the last one. So be in quick! There are also lots of other items on sale too so have a good look around :)

Don't forget that orders 4 and 8 will be sent a 10% off voucher code they can use next time or pass onto a friend. If you are the lucky 4 or 8 you will be emailed with your voucher code.

As mentioned on facebook earlier, if you want to pay with your credit card and don't have a PayPal account, don't worry you can still pay with your credit card, our check out will take you through PayPal and at the end you can decide if you want to store your details or not. You don't have to sign up. Its pretty easy and hassel free :)

Well I think thats about all now, I have a few more items to quickly list and then I will be opening the store.
