Competition Time! Win a Paci Plushie
To be in to win one of these Paci Plushies all you need to do is email a photo of your baby with a cute soft toy! Even make it a bit different some how if you like. After you have emailed your entry come over and join this group Adorable Kidaholics Anonymous where all entries will be placed in an album for everyone to see. I will use random org to get the winner and the position of your entry will be in order of it being received in my email.

One man band!
Lately I have been getting alot of emails and comments on my Facebook page asking about items out of stock, if I'll be making more of certain things and about custom orders!
For those who don't know I am the only sewer of all the handmade items on AK. Sometimes when I list new items on the website they are snapped up pretty quickly! I try to keep up with the demand as much as possible but I also juggle family life, house work and ME time aswell! I swear there isn't enough time in a day!
So while I am aware that so much stuff is labeled as "out of stock" I am trying very hard to please everyone by keeping up and taking into account requests. Alot of my customers have learnt to stalk my website if they want something and to grab it asap! lol. So I can only suggest that everyone does that. I do not take sales any other way than my website.
Custom orders - At the moment I am not taking on the responsibility of commiting to custom orders. There is an area on my website where you can see if I have any slots available but that is not likely to change any time soon. However, I am considering taking on a small limited amount of custom requests at the beginning of each month and will aim to get them completed by the end of each month. There is an $8 fee as this takes me away from making stock for my website.
So I just wanted to let those who don't know, know I am am a "one man band" or in my case woman lol It is just not humanly possibly for me to keep up with everything at once so please be patient with me, and stalk stalk stalk! lol :)

Farewell 2010
Well as the last day of 2010 draws to an end I have been reflecting back on the year that has been. Wow so much has happened for me and my family, the biggest thing we did was make the move from NZ to Australia in January, which was pretty stressful preparing for that move and its hard starting fresh but we are certainly getting on our feet now and really enjoying what Australia has to bring :)
I had no idea at that time how far forward that would bring my little work at home business. I thought I did pretty well back in NZ but wow over here its been so very overwhelming! I can't believe how hard I have made my little sewing machine work and how many cute little products have been produced and little faces I have made smile :) Seeing those smiles makes every bit of handmade work worth it!
Within the first 3 months of starting up here I had accomplished over 100 orders and as of today I have more than tripled that! How on earth have I managed all that on my own? Some friends have called me superwoman but I don't feel like superwoman lol I have to admit I have pushed myself quite a bit but I had no idea at the extent. All I can say is I try my best and I put in all the handmade love I possibly can into each item knowing how much it will be loved back :)
I am so very grateful to all my customers through 2010 and so lucky to have so many loyal customers who keep coming back! Thank you to all of you, you know who you all are! I am also so very lucky to have made some very good friends through my page, what would I do without you all! I am so glad to be friends with you all and enjoying meeting those who I am able to meet in person and next year I look forward to making new friends and meeting more of you :)
The hardest thing for me in 2010 was loosing my mum. It was something that happend very quickly and will take me a very long time to come to terms with. She was someone I always shared my dreams with about my site and all my sewing. Everytime I finished something I had to show her. She also helped me alot and gave me many ideas. She was the one who named my Snappy Straps over 3 years ago. I miss her so much and if she knew how far I have come in this short time I am sure she would be proud of me.
I can't wait to see what 2011 brings and I have lots of new items I hopefully will be stocking next year. Its very exciting for me thinking about it all and I can't wait to announce all the new things as they come. I'm also excited to have some help next year with my sewing and cutting, it will help me very much to keep up with everyones demands :)

Who is the most adorable for July??
Well I have finally decided on a new competition for those of you on my wonderful Facebook page!
Pick your favourite photo of your child/children and post it on my wall, I will then move it into the competition album.
The photo with the 'most' likes will be the winner so you will have to encourage as many people that you can to click 'like' on your photo and also anyone else on the page could choose to like your pic too :)
Few Rules -
Only 1 Photo per family please. Please don't get your spouse or other family members to enter on your behalf.
You can start posting your pic on my wall straight away.
Entries for photos will end on Saturday 17th at 7pm AEST.
Competition will end on Sunday 18th of July at 7.30pm AEST
Prize
